October is upon us.

Our annual Halloween party is coming up on October, 25th, we always need parent and student volunteers in order to make the event run smoothly.

A reminder that the deadline for ordering yearbooks is just around the corner. We need to sell at least 30 yearbooks by November 1st in order to begin working on the books. Without enough orders we can't have a yearbook, so keep them coming.

There is a copy of the yearbook order form in the September and October newsletters. Follow this link to print out a copy.

Welcome Back Everyone!

I hope you all had a safe and exciting summer holiday, and are ready to get back to school.

There are a few important dates to be aware of this fall. Tuesday September 10th is an early dismissal day; please make arrangements for your child to be picked up at 2:25 p.m. rather than 3:25. Our meet the teacher BBQ will be held on Thursday, September 12th, order forms for food have gone home with our “oldest or only” students. Picture day will be Tuesday, October 1st.

This year is a winter camp year for our grade 7 and 8 students. We will be visiting Winkler Bible Camp In February. We will be away from school for three days, from the 19th to the 21st. You will receive more information about winter camp as we get closer to the departure date. We will be looking for a couple of parent volunteers who would be willing to join us for some winter camping fun. If you are interested and available to join us please contact the school.

The grade 8 class is already back to work. We have begun our T.U.S.C. program and our first novel study in ELA. We have begun a unit on developing world views in social studies, and will get started on our first unit about fast food, in French next week.

    An Irish Blessing

May the road rise up to meet you,
may the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and the rain fall soft upon your fields,
    and until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
May you have: A world of wishes at your command.

God and his angels close to hand.

Friends and family their love to impart, and Irish blessings deep in your heart!

May the Irish hills caress you.

May her lakes and rivers bless you.

May the luck of the Irish enfold you.

May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

May you have warm words on a cold evening,

a full moon on a dark night,

and the road downhill all the way to your door.

May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light,

and may good luck pursue you each morning and night.

May your blessings outnumber the Shamrocks that grow,

and may trouble avoid you wherever you go.

Happy St. Patrick's Day Everyone!
