Hello Everyone,

It is October and there are a lot of things happening at St. Gerard. The grade 8 class is studying prehistory in social studies, examining early human society and culture. We are currently finishing up the novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in ELA, while brushing up on our grammar and spelling skills. We have just begun a unit about investigations in French.

St. Gerard’s annual Halloween Family Fun Party is coming up on October 24th, everyone is welcome, and volunteers are always appreciated. Some of our older students will be helping out running some of our games and activities. Friday October 30th will be an Orange and Black N.U.T. Day, No costumes please.

The Boys’ and Girls’ Volleyball teams will once again be participating at the St. Alphonsus Tournament on October 31st all day. Parents and families are welcome to join us to cheer on our young athletes.

There is an upcoming field trip to the Millennium Library on Wednesday, October 21st. Permission forms have been sent home and are due back October 19th.
